IT’S TIME FOR ANNUAL EAT TO THE BEAT FUNDRAISER BENEFITING BREAST CANCER AWARENESS & SUPPORT

One of the most inventive and enjoyable fundraisers in Toronto, EAT TO THE BEAT, takes place every October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Saucy Minx is privileged to attend again this year and will report on all the fabulous food, talented female chefs and entertainers who will be in the spotlight next Tuesday Oct. 17th so watch this blog for lots of photos and a post-event blog (burp!)
Here are the generous chefs from last year’s wonderful event where Saucy Minx stuffed her face silly with some of the finest cuisine in the city – all for a great cause!!60 Female Chefs - _80A1662And here’s just a small sample of what attendees will enjoy…Waupoos Estates Winery, Cider Braised lamb - _DSC9283 Pai Northern Kitchen - _DSC9279 Photo Katie Evans vendors in blue jays swag- _DSC3783Eat to the Beat is presented by KitchenAid and is a signature event of the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS). The culinary event celebrates its 22nd year on Tuesday, October 17 from 7pm – 10pm at Roy Thomson Hall (60 Simcoe Street). It’s the only event in Canada that exclusively features 60 female chefs supporting women through the challenges that come with a breast cancer diagnosis. General Admission Tickets are $189 and include all food and beverages (a tax receipt will be issued for the maximum allowable amount). For tickets or to see the line-up of chefs and beverage participants, please visit www.eattothebeat.ca.

Saucy Minx would also like to give a great big shout-out to the volunteers who come up with great (and whacky!) ideas for entertaining the crowds each year.  Last year, they all dressed up in crazy decorated corsets. Bravo, ladies, and thanks for your additional fundraising efforts.2016 Eat To The BeatThanks to Peter Ashworth of Ashworth Associates Inc. for granting Saucy Minx media access.
