Saucy Minx was thrilled to attend the opening party for local Toronto artist Stephen Tricanico‘s launch at Urban Gallery (400 Queen St East) earlier this month and I’d like to encourage you to visit the gallery before his exhibition “Left Brain, Right Brain” closes this Saturday (Aug. 29).20150806_171959 20150806_172225 20150806_172305Tricanico (pictured below) is a 24 year old Toronto abstract expressionist/pop artist who has spent the past year waking up and creating every day resulting in the variety of works shown in this exhibition. 20150806_172052With the pop works, I was trying to create a visual reinterpretation of plays on words and poetry, having pieces being based off a thought I once had. The abstracts result from wanting to do something based off a feeling, allowing the work to satisfy my left and right brain, and hopefully the viewers as well…….. Stephen Tricanico 20150806_172244IMG_1190IMG_2377So if you don’t want to battle the crowds at the Ex, go visit Stephen’s colourful, quirky, fun paintings at Urban Gallery, 400 Queen East (just 1 blk E of Parliament) before 5pm this coming Saturday.  Details: www.UrbanGallery.ca20150806_173308
